The current salary rate for a typical 3‑credit lecture course taught by a new part‑time faculty member in the day program is $4,005.00, paid bi‑weekly via direct deposit. Rates may vary for other course types based on contact‑hour equivalencies. Position Information Title: Part‑Time Faculty, School of Social Work – Saturday MSW Program Rank: Adjunct Instructor Department: School of Social Work The School of Social Work offers both BSW and MSW programs with approximately 550 students and a faculty of 16 full‑time, over 15 part‑time instructors, three field education specialists, and two administrators. The program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Responsibilities Teach courses in the Saturday MSW program, holding classes from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays; hybrid format does not require campus presence every week. Develop and deliver lesson plans incorporating diverse instructional techniques, multi‑media, and integration strategies to meet educational, culturally relevant, and emotional needs of students. Maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning and encourage student success for all students, regardless of race. Collaborate with full‑time faculty, field staff, and peers to support the department’s mission of serving a racially and ethnically diverse campus community. Course Load Teaching up to 11 credits per semester as assigned by the School of Social Work chairperson. Required Qualifications Master’s degree in social work or a related field. At least 2 years of post‑MSW experience. Proficiency in using technology effectively for online and in‑person teaching that meets educational, culturally relevant, and emotional needs. Preferred Qualifications MSW degree and Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) credential. Teaching experience in a BSW or MSW program.
