Senior Piping Designer

Senior Piping Designer (CADWorx)We are seeking an experienced Senior Piping Designer to join our client's team in Portland, OR. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for a highly skilled professional with strong CADWorx experience and a background in industrial piping design. In this role, you will take ownership of design efforts, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute to high-quality project execution.Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently develop and model piping systems using CADWorxLead portions of project scope, ensuring quality and adherence to design standardsCoordinate closely with engineers and cross-functional teamsProvide technical input on operability, constructability, and model qualityInterpret and work from P&IDs, vendor drawings, and engineering documentationSupport workshare execution and collaborate on project estimating and change managementEnsure accuracy, consistency, and organization of models and drawingsRequired QualificationsAssociate's degree in Design Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)10+ years of piping design experience in industrial environments (Oil & Gas, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, or Semiconductor)Proficiency in CADWorx, with at least 3 years of recent hands-on experienceStrong understanding of piping specifications, materials, equipment interfaces, and layout principlesAbility to read and interpret P&IDs and technical documentationProven ability to work independently with minimal oversightStrong communication and coordination skills in a multi-discipline environmentExcellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and qualityPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or related fieldExperience working in semiconductor facilitiesFamiliarity with pipe stress considerations and their impact on routing and support designWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
