Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with daily activities, including personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, etc.), meal preparation, and mobility assistance.
• Help clients with medication reminders and other health-related needs.
• Develop and follow individualized care plans to support clients’ physical, emotional, and social needs.
• Encourage and support clients in achieving personal goals and independence.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in social, recreational, and community activities.
• Document client progress and report any changes in health, behavior, or condition to supervisors.
• Assist with light housekeeping and maintaining a clean living environment.
• Advocate for the rights and well-being of clients, ensuring their dignity and independence are respected.
• Help with meal preparation, light housekeeping.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Follow a personalized care plan and report changes to the supervisor.

Education:

• 1 year experience preferred supporting adults with developmental disabilities.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a California Driver’s License.
• Candidates must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check.
• Direct Support Professional Certificate Year 1 & Year 2 (Preferred or willing to obtain within the first 6 months of hire).
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) (Preferred or willing to obtain within the first 6 months of hire).
• Must have First Aid / CPR.
• Current Physical and TB test (within Current yr).
