Shuttle Driver

We are seeking qualified candidates to serve as Shuttle Drivers supporting the General Leonard Wood Community Hospital (GLWCH) at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. This purpose of this position is to provide safe, reliable, and courteous transportation for ambulatory and non-ambulatory patients and staff within the hospital campus.

Job Duties:

Operate shuttle vehicles along designated routes and stops within the GLWCH campus.

Assist passengers, including those with mobility challenges, with boarding and exiting vehicles.

Maintain professional and courteous interactions with all passengers.

Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report any deficiencies.

Maintain accurate operational logs and documentation as required.

Communicate with hospital dispatch and security using communication devices to report emergencies or incidents.

Adhere to all safety, operational, and customer service standards as outlined by the hospital and contract requirements.

Work Schedule:

Multiple shifts available between the hours of 0600-1700, excluding federal holidays.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of six (6) months driving experience.

Current Missouri Class E (For Hire) drivers license (or ability to obtain prior to employment).

Basic Life Saving (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (or ability to obtain prior to employment and maintain throughout employment).

Ability to pass installation and medical facility background checks and suitability requirements.

Must complete required health screenings and immunizations (including annual influenza vaccination and tuberculosis screening).

U.S. citizenship.

Proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Compliance with all hospital, installation, and contract policies, including tobacco-free campus regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience operating passenger shuttles or providing transportation services in a healthcare or government setting.

Experience assisting individuals with disabilities or special needs.
