Position Summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time   Welder,  to travel and perform various welding actives on the highway and brides in the Bexar and San Antonio , Texas  area. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to Welding  and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

Required Experience:

• Certifications required 

Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Carry out simple arithmetic functions
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
• Ability to use smart phone and applications
• Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to operate hand/power tools
• Must be able to work on call, several times a year 
• Some travel may be requested - per diem provided
• Must be able to use own vehicle and own equipment 
• Mileage paid for travel outside Bexar and San Antonio area
• CDL a plus 
• On call bases 

Schedule:
On call bases with a 4 hour minimum per shift, Must be able to work weather events such as snow, ice, and floods.
