CSA Construction Manager

Role Overview As a Construction Manager Work Package Owner CSA, you will lead the planning, engineering, architectural design, construction management, and design‑build delivery of construction projects in Spartanburg, SC (or other U.S. Jacobs offices). Your focus will be on delivering project scopes, budgets, contracts, and schedules while exceeding client expectations. Responsibilities Host weekly meetings with subcontractors, take notes, and distribute minutes. Ensure subcontractors possess the latest technical documents, drawings, and specifications. Review RFIs and submittals for completeness before submission. Monitor RFIs and submittals returned from subcontractors and coordinate engineering assistance as needed. Visit subcontractor fabrication shops to expedite material deliveries and verify work in progress. Collaborate with construction management and field superintendents to coordinate material deliveries. Track subcontractor schedules weekly, escalating issues to the ACM and Subcontracts Administrator. Evaluate potential changes with the Subcontracts Administrator, ensuring pricing and administration in Unifier. Review, coordinate, and approve pay applications before submission to the ACM. Qualifications 10+ years of experience managing construction projects for Life Science and/or Pharmaceutical Production Facilities or similar construction. Strong knowledge of pre‑design, pre‑construction, building systems, contract management, and project delivery methods. Expertise in Civil, Structural, and Architectural construction management. Experience leading contractors and superintendents for current scope, engineering information, and document drawings/specifications. Ability to manage CSA scopes of work from Bid Phase through execution, turnover, and close‑out. Experience monitoring project budgets to meet requirements. Preferred Experience Ability to work with Engineering and Subcontracting to develop CSA bid package scopes. Coordinate with Subcontracts Department and Engineering for Bid Phase requirements and changes. Work closely with Subcontracts Administration, Project Controls, Accounting, Quality, and Turnover for efficient subcontract close‑out.
