Hours for this position are typically: 2nd shift - 2:00pm-10:00pm. Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekends & some holidays) WHAT TOLEDO TOOL & DIE CAN OFFER YOU: Starting pay of $23.00/hour, $1.50 shift premium for 2nd shift, weekly pay, 10 paid holidays, full benefits.

WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT FOR THIS POSITION: Previous experience in a factory is beneficial but not necessary. Strong work ethic, positive attitude, consistent attendance, willingness to learn, safety minded.

Key Responsibilities: Assist Department Supervisor in assigning/delegating work, coordinating the safe and efficient operations of the department to meet operational goals. The Production Team Lead will fill in for the supervisor and their duties when the supervisor is unavailable.

Essential Job Functions: Recommend measures to motivate employees and to improve safety, production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency. Assist with coordinating activities & training of employees; die setters, material handlers and operators. Confer with supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments. Plan and establish job assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals when supervisor is unavailable. Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions. Authority to stop production in the event unsafe parts or conditions appear. Assist in problem solving/ corrective actions. Assist in developing work instructions. Ability to sit in on interviews and disciplines when the supervisor is unavailable. Must be able to multitask. Ability to give clear direction and communication. Train on Quality Alerts/Sign Off. Follow & enforce all PPE & safety protocols as outlined in TTD handbook. Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or Manager, which may be outside the scope of responsibilities noted above.

Requirements Minimum Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Some previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is preferred. Experience with die setting in a manufacturing environment. Identified candidates must be able to work overtime (daily, weekends and holidays).

Position requires the capability of managing stress effectively; work is fast paced and can be demanding. Work requires organizing, prioritizing; accuracy and attention to detail.

HOURS / SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Monday-Friday; present to fulfill job duties & meet operational demands/support; schedule may vary depending on plant operational needs thus flexibility is required which could include long days, occasional evening & weekends; regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position; position may require travel to meetings, conferences, workshops or other facilities.
