Member Specialist

Position Summary Provides member service and maintains the checkout area. Resolves member issues and concerns, promotes Sam’s Club products and services, and provides guidance to members regarding self‑service technology. Processes member purchases, payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with company policies for various membership and payment types. Follows company safety standards, conducts safety sweeps, and handles merchandise properly, reporting unsafe situations. Maintains entrance and exit areas, verifies membership cards, assists members with purchasing decisions, locates merchandise, and zones the area. Arranges and organizes merchandise, assists members with transporting items, and keeps a safe shopping environment. Secures and safeguards club assets, observes potential criminal activity, maintains paperwork and logs, executes emergency response procedures, and ensures compliance with security and safety practices. Trains Member Frontline Services associates on company processes and new technology, delivers roll‑out training for new programs, and provides continuous learning opportunities. Identifies shrink, damages, and ensures compliance with ethics, Open Door Policy, and business best practices. Manages priorities, collaborates with managers and teammates, communicates progress, and recommends improvements while adapting to change. Demonstrates teamwork, mentorship, integrity, customer focus, and a commitment to excellence, supporting the culture of belonging, growth, and innovation at Sam’s Club. Qualifications Retail experience operating front‑end equipment (e.g., cash register). Experience working with mobile retail applications. Compensation The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00*. *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Premium compensation may be paid at a rate ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
