Sr Front End Developer

Role Description

Working under minimal supervision of the Manager, Web Development, referring only exceptional problems and issues for management review or approval, the Senior Front-End Developer is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing a modern web application using React, TypeScript, and related front-end technologies. This role independently leads complex development efforts, provides technical guidance, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality user experiences. Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, test, and implement features and functionality for modern web applications using React, TypeScript, and related front-end technologies.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, analysts, UX designers, QA Engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements.
• Participate in application design and technical planning activities, contributing to architecture, component design, and implementation approaches.
• Translate business requirements and functional specifications into scalable, maintainable, and reusable software solutions.
• Leverage software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices, including source control, code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production support requests.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, implementation details, and support documentation.
• Ensure applications adhere to established coding standards, style guides, security requirements, policies, processes, and procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by evaluating and applying modern development tools, frameworks, and best practices.
• Perform all other duties or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Strong experience developing modern web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design principles.
• Experience with Material UI (MUI) or similar component libraries.
• Experience with modern front-end development tools and workflows, including Vite, npm, and Git.
• Experience consuming and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Experience developing forms, validation, and user input workflows.
• Understanding of application state management and asynchronous data patterns.
• Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, code reviews, testing practices, and source control.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Requirements

• Experience with TanStack libraries, including React Query, React Table, and React Virtual.
• Experience with React Hook Form and validation libraries.
• Experience with internationalization/localization frameworks.
• Experience building data-intensive applications, dashboards, reporting solutions, or eCommerce applications.
• Experience with advanced user experience patterns.
• Experience with modern front-end architecture and performance optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with server-side technologies such as .NET and PHP to support integration with front-end React applications.
• Experience designing and implementing user interfaces that seamlessly incorporate AI features, utilizing LLM APIs and prompt engineering to deliver intuitive, responsive, and highly personalized user experiences.
