Dementia Unit Manager (RN/LPN)$7,500 Sign-On Bonus

Berkshire Place Nursing & Rehabilitation , a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Providence, Rhode Island, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Dementia Unit Manager (RN/LPN) to lead our specialized memory care unit.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nursing leader who is passionate about providing person-centered dementia care while fostering a supportive environment for residents, families, and staff.

Position Summary

The Dementia Unit Manager is responsible for the clinical and operational oversight of our specialized memory care unit, ensuring the delivery of exceptional, resident-centered care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Unit Manager provides leadership to the interdisciplinary team, promotes best practices in dementia care, and creates a safe, engaging, and therapeutic environment for residents living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. This role includes supervising nursing staff, coordinating resident care, collaborating with physicians and families, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current Rhode Island Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license, or eligibility through the Nurse Licensure Compact.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

• Minimum of one year of nursing leadership or supervisory experience in a skilled nursing, long-term care, memory care, or dementia setting preferred.

• Experience caring for residents with Alzheimer's disease or other dementias strongly preferred.

• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills.

• Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing long-term care facilities.

• Current COVID-19 vaccination, if required by applicable regulations.
