Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist Inpatient (PT IP) position is available at a healthcare facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role involves working at a ground-based rehabilitation unit, providing therapy to patients with neuro, multi-trauma, and medically complex diagnoses. Candidates are required to bring their Utah state license on the first day. The position offers an opportunity to join a dedicated, tenured team that collaborates closely with nursing and other disciplines.

Job Details:

• Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
• Shift: Days, 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Fridays through Sundays, all 8 or 9-hour shifts, plus one mid-week shift on ARC or acute care side; cross-training on the acute side during week two
• Required Qualifications: MSPT or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited physical therapy program; Utah state license to practice; BLS certification up to date; pass the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE); no minimum years of experience required
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous acute rehab or acute care experience preferred
• Float: Float rotation may be required to the acute care side of the hospital if census is low
• Additional Information: The unit focuses on neuro re-education, gait training, balance, wheelchair training, cognitive re-education, vestibular training, energy conservation, orthotic use, and family training. The team uses equipment such as Sara Stedy, Vector, BITS, BURT, Bioness H200 UE, among others. The hospital has received recent awards including the FY 2021 & 2024 Top Performer Award within UDSMR and a 2023 Unit of Distinction for quality care and engagement.
