Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients with cardiac and other acute conditions in a fast-paced telemetry unit. Deliver high-quality patient care while ensuring compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and monitor cardiac rhythms accurately using telemetry equipment.
• Administer medications, IV drips, and perform procedures such as central line management and cardiac catheter recovery.
• Document patient care activities precisely in the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and maintain a safe environment.
• Educate patients and families on their care plans and health management.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license and a minimum of 2 years of recent acute care hospital telemetry experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using Meditech EMR and telemetry monitoring systems.
• Possess current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Have experience with procedures including medication drips, central line management, and heart cath recovery.
• Exhibit strong critical thinking skills and a positive, engaged attitude.
• Be able to work independently and adapt to fast-paced environments.
