My client is a New York AI company building an operating system for capital markets. It pulls thirty years of fragmented front, middle and back office systems into one governed layer, runs inside the client's own cloud, and keeps none of their data. That's why they get meetings at firms that turn most vendors away. Thirty people across New York, Singapore and India. Series A closed this year, led by a specialist capital markets investor. Founders out of Goldman, Credit Suisse, UBS and McKinsey. A new CTO from high-frequency trading and Amazon. A new CRO from UBS and Mizuho. Sales lands the account. Forward-deployed engineers go onsite and do the groundwork. Then someone has to own the delivery, and right now that's the executive sponsor, who should be out selling. That's your job. Run the engineers on the ground, hold the client relationship, protect the timeline, and turn work built for one asset manager into a component the next five can use. No coding. You do need to hold your own with engineers and translate between them and a trading desk. You'll need Capital markets domain, ideally asset management or hedge funds A record of owning onsite delivery at financial institutions Experience running embedded or forward-deployed technical teams Credibility with COOs and heads of operations Working knowledge of agentic and LLM-backed workflows Two days a week onsite in New York, some Philadelphia.
