Teaching Assistant (Multiple Positions Available) Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking temporary Teaching Assistants for the Rutgers Center for Government Services. Responsibilities: Assist in administrative duties. Handle class preparation and participation. Address minor student inquiries. Understand training objectives and learning outcomes. Familiarize with course materials, manuals, and digital tools. Practice delivering content using effective teaching methods. Facilitate discussions, answer questions, and manage classroom dynamics. Incorporate adult learning principles, interactive learning, and hands‑on activities. Accept and apply constructive feedback from trainers and peers. Refine teaching techniques based on evaluations and observations. Self‑assess strengths and areas for improvement. Provide support to part‑time instructors assigned to non‑credit courses and programs offered through the Center for Government Services. Successful completion of Train‑the‑Trainer program (preferred). Government or professional certification (preferred). Special conditions: Work at several sites throughout New Jersey.
