Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - CSICU/CVICU experience at a level 1 facility - EPIC charting experience Description: Cardiac surgery intensive care unit experience is required. Candidates must have experience in a level 1 facility. Must possess experience with invasive hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive IV medications. Nursing assignments include caring for 1-2 patients with complex cardiac conditions such as CABGs, valve repairs/replacements, and heart/liver/kidney transplants. Experience with post-op recovery care is necessary, including care for patients on CRRT, ECMO, and circulatory assist devices. Float within scope may be required. Preferred qualifications include experience in a surgical trauma ICU setting with a strong emphasis on the required skills. Ideal candidates will have experience with CRRT, IABP, and ECMO. The unit provides interdisciplinary support, including physical therapy and respiratory services. Candidates must exhibit proficiency in monitoring and responding to critical patient needs. All candidates must have strong teamwork abilities and effective communication skills.
