Qualifications for the Registered Nurse (RN):

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Valid RN license or temporary permit to practice in New Mexico (compact licenses accepted).
• Current CPR and NRP certifications, or proof of enrollment in certification courses.
• Prior experience in labor and delivery or related maternal-child health preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient-centered care during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
• Monitor maternal and fetal health, responding to emergent situations as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum care and newborn health.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of care activities.
