This role plays a critical part in designing and maintaining secure, high-performing local, wireless, and wide-area networks to ensure maximum uptime, reliability, and scalability.This position requires deep expertise in core networking technologies, including TCP/IP, VoIP systems, SD-WAN, and access control frameworks. The role balances strategic architecture contributions with hands-on troubleshooting and operational support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both designing resilient systems and solving real-world network challenges.ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain network environments by defining system configurations, directing installations, and establishing standardsDevelop and deploy new network solutions while improving the resilience and performance of existing infrastructureProvide comprehensive support for network devices including routers, switches, and associated protocols—covering configuration, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenanceMonitor network performance, diagnose issues, and coordinate upgrades to ensure optimal uptime and efficiencySupport and troubleshoot Voice over IP (VoIP) systems and overall network connectivityProvide support for wireless environments, including access points and connected devices such as laptops, handhelds, voice-enabled devices, printers, and operational equipmentPartner with security teams to enforce network security policies, manage access controls, and ensure timely updates to firmware and software across devicesMaintain accurate inventory of network hardware and infrastructure componentsCoordinate procurement and distribution of networking equipment across locations as neededCreate and maintain up-to-date documentation for network architecture, processes, and proceduresManage and prioritize incoming requests and escalations to ensure timely resolution and strong service deliveryRequirementsBachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field5+ years of hands-on networking experience in an enterprise environmentExposure to network security principles and practices preferredIndustry certifications such as CCNA or equivalent preferredTechnical Skills:Experience with network infrastructure including firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless technologies (Cisco or similar platforms preferred)Familiarity with network authentication protocols such as 802.1X preferredStrong understanding of networking fundamentals across Layers 1–3 of the OSI modelExperience with TCP/IP networking, SD-WAN, and VoIP systemsAbout K?STA I.T.:Our name says it all; K?STA I.T.
