Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a CNC Machinist role in Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce precision components according to specifications.

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and machining specifications.

• Perform machine setups, including proper selection and installation of tooling, fixtures, and workholding.

• Make necessary machine and tool offset adjustments to maintain part quality and dimensional accuracy.

• Use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools to verify finished parts.

• Monitor machining operations to identify tool wear, equipment issues, or out-of-tolerance conditions.

• Perform in-process inspections and ensure finished components meet required specifications and quality standards.

• Troubleshoot machining and production issues to minimize downtime and maintain efficient operations.

• Complete required production and quality documentation accurately.

• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve manufacturing issues and improve machining processes.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience required.

• Previous experience setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes.

• Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, speeds, feeds, and workholding.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

• Experience using precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers.

• Ability to make machine offsets and adjustments to maintain dimensional tolerances.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality parts.

• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or machining education is a plus.
