Registered Nurse (RN) - M/S Tele

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry department. This role involves providing direct patient care in a telemetry unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare to adult and geriatric patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to a patient population with acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Monitor and manage patient telemetry, ensuring timely and accurate interventions.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records using electronic health records.
• Participate in patient and family education regarding care and health management.
• Assist with patient transitions within the hospital, including potential floating to other units as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• A minimum of two years of recent acute care nursing experience.
• Experience in telemetry nursing with the ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:6.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience as a preceptor or in a charge nurse role.
• Proficiency in caring for patients with total joint replacement, surgical conditions, and complex medical needs.

Work Schedule:

This position requires a shift of three 12-hour workdays per week. Flexibility to work weekends is also part of the schedule, with four weekend shifts expected within a four-week period.
