Delivery Driver Job Description We are looking for qualified drivers to staff our stores. Delivery Expert Job Requirements and Duties You must be at least 18 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license with a minimum of two years of safe driving history that meets company standards, and drive a vehicle insured in your name that is suitable for delivery. You should have strong customer service skills, be able to navigate emergency terrain, locate addresses within designated delivery areas, and maneuver through multi‑story buildings. General Job Duties for All Team Members Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage. Receive and process telephone and in‑person orders. Clean equipment and facility daily, including washing dishes. Communication Skills Must comprehend written instructions accurately. Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers over the phone and in person. Essential Functions/Skills/Abilities Perform quick and accurate basic arithmetic (may use calculator). Calculate correct monetary change. Provide verbal, written, and telephone order processing. Coordinate motor movements between eyes and hands/fingers to handle tasks quickly and accurately. Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen. Work Conditions Sensing Listening and speaking on the telephone. Near‑ and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks. Depth perception. Differentiation between hot and cold surfaces. Temperaments Direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone or with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, make judgments and decisions. Exposure To Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing outside tasks. Temperature range from 36°F to 90°F or higher in work areas. Sudden temperature changes in the work area and outdoors. Fumes from food odors. Exposure to cornmeal dust. Cramped quarters, including walk‑in cooler. Hot surfaces/tools from ovens up to 500°F or higher. Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts. Varying weather conditions. Physical Requirements Standing Most tasks performed from a standing position. Walking Surfaces include ceramic tiles and linoleum in food process areas. Work surfaces height 36"–48". Lifting Bulk product deliveries twice a week or more; unloading uses a hand truck. Deliveries may include cases weighing up to 50 pounds with dimensions up to 3' x 1.5'. Cases stacked onto shelves up to 72" high. Carrying Occasionally carry 30‑pound pizza sauce from storage to front of store. Carry two trays of pizza dough, each ~12 pounds. Pushing Move trays on dollies; stack approx. 24"–30" requiring up to 7.5 pounds of force. Trays may also be pulled. Climbing Occasional navigation of stairs or ladders for maintenance tasks. Crouching/Squatting Occasional crouch to stock shelves and clean low areas. Forward bending at the waist at the pizza assembly station. Limited knee flexion at some stations. Duration 30–45 seconds per position, repeated throughout the day. Forward bending also at front counter and during ingredient stocking. Reaching Continuous reaching forward, upward, and downward. Reach above 72" to operate ovens, change sign prices, and lift objects. Reach downward to scoop cornmeal, wash dishes. Reach forward for topping ingredients, cleaning surfaces, answering phones. Hand Tasks Continuous eye‑hand coordination and use of both hands. Forceful use of forearms and wrists during pizza dough shaping. Manipulate pizza peel and rolling cutter. Pinch force required during cardboard box assembly. Grasp cans, phone, pizza cutter, peel, and boxes. Machines, Tools, Equipment, Work Aids Use of pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, pizza cutter, and peel. Advancement Many team members begin as CSRs or delivery drivers and progress to franchise ownership.
