Project Overview: A 1.3 GW simple-cycle power generation facility located in Millersport, Ohio, adjacent to a hyperscale data center campus. The facility includes Solar Titan 130 gas turbines, Siemens SGT800 gas turbines, reciprocating engines, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, and balance of plant infrastructure. The scope includes major civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, underground utility, control systems, and commissioning works to support phased energization and turnover, with construction executed via direct hire and subcontracted labor, modularization, pre-assembly, offsite warehousing, and advanced work packaging. Job Summary Provides overall field leadership, coordination, and execution oversight for all civil construction activities including enabling works, earthworks, underground utilities, foundations, piling, temporary facilities, drainage, and site works. Responsible for safety, quality, productivity, construction sequencing, subcontractor coordination, and interface management across multiple fronts. Leads Civil Supervisors and Craft Professionals and coordinates with Field Engineering, Project Controls, ES&H, QA/QC, Logistics, and Commissioning to achieve milestones and turnover requirements. Major Responsibilities Leadership / Supervision: Discipline supervision of supervisors supporting ~50 craft; area/facility responsibility. Supervise and direct craft activities: Direct Hire; supervise subordinate supervisors and others as assigned. Planning: Schedule work and review progress by each craft; determine workforce requirements; coordinate area operational plans. Productivity: Manage productivity and ensure tools, materials, and equipment are available. Tools, Materials & Equipment: Oversee tool and equipment usage; prepare Field Material Requisitions. Safety & Quality: Ensure current design documents are used and design changes are approved; ensure operations and subcontractors meet specifications, schedules, and budgets. Technical: Interpret engineering design documents; coordinate with Subcontractors, Foremen, and Craft Professionals; manage engineering solutions with teams. Education and Experience Requirements Education: Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent). Experience: 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience. Required Knowledge and Skills Large EPC industrial or power project construction experience Strong knowledge of civil construction means and methods Earthworks, grading, and underground utility installation experience Heavy foundation and piling construction experience Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and direct hire crews Strong understanding of construction sequencing and workface planning Experience with temporary facilities and site establishment Knowledge of SWPPP, erosion control, and dewatering systems Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills Ability to drive safety, quality, and productivity performance Experience coordinating with engineering, logistics, and commissioning teams Familiarity with Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) and turnover planning preferred Total Rewards/Benefits Bechtel offers robust benefits to support career growth, culture programs, and time to recharge.
