Every role here, whatever the team, plugs into that.Here's what this particular role covers.About Our Fleet Operations TeamsOur Fleet Operations team is responsible for ensuring Wayve's autonomous vehicle fleet is always safe, reliable, and ready to support all facets of development, testing, and demonstration. Working in close collaboration with engineering, drivers, and operations teams, we play a key role in supporting real-world deployment and hands-on innovation in autonomy.Your Day-To-DayPerform routine and preventative maintenance: execute scheduled servicing and inspections in accordance with manufacturer and internal guidelines.Diagnose and repair a wide range of mechanical and electrical faults using OEM documentation and advanced diagnostic equipment.Ensure vehicle readiness for high-visibility and public-facing demonstrations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, reliability, and functionality.Adhere to workshop safety practices and compliance standards, following risk assessments and regulations.Accurately record faults, repairs, and parts used with digital tools, maintaining up-to-date service logs.Communicate recurring issues or improvement suggestions to the Fleet Service Manager and Field Engineering teams.Act as a hands-on fleet expert and proactively engage with drivers to resolve issues and uphold a positive operational experience.What You'll Be Working OnRoutine scheduled servicing and safety inspections on the full range of autonomous fleet vehiclesDiagnosing and resolving automotive faults leveraging modern diagnostic toolsPreparing vehicles for demonstrations, public events, and internal testing requirementsMaintaining strict workshop safety and operational standardsUsing computer systems for job tracking, documenting maintenance, and reportingProviding feedback into ongoing fleet performance and improvement initiativesYou Should Apply IfYou hold relevant qualifications in automotive servicing, diagnostics, and repairsYou have proven experience as a Vehicle Technician in an automotive servicing or fleet environmentYou possess strong diagnostic skills with OEM or third-party equipmentYou are familiar with mechanical and bodywork repairs using OEM repair manualsYou are comfortable with computer systems for recording and tracking maintenance tasks (e.g., Word, Excel)You are comfortable collaborating with engineers, operations staff, and driversYou have a strong understanding of workshop safety and compliance standardsYou have a valid US driving licenseDesirableExperience working with vehicles equipped with ADAS or autonomous technologyUnderstanding of AV fleet operational needs in a high-uptime environmentPassion for emerging mobility technologies and willingness to learn new systemsNot ticking every box?
