Solution Consultant / Sales Engineer (San Jose)

About the Role: We are looking for a stellar Solutions Consultant / Sales Engineer to join the West/Central region prospect and customer team. The role focuses on demoing and proof‑of‑concept delivery, selling the Whatfix solution, and providing deep product expertise to prospects and customers. Responsibilities: Establish and maintain a deep understanding of the Whatfix product portfolio and competitive landscape. Study Whatfix deployments across industries and create industry best practices and use cases based on current deployments. Learn about the customer’s business, digital transformation trends in their industry, and present thought leadership on how Whatfix solves their pain points. Identify enterprise software trends and opportunities that support a DAP platform. Partner with Account Executives during discovery calls and prepare/deliver presentations and product demonstrations for prospects and customers. Manage and execute on‑site or remote solution demonstrations with the assistance of Account Executives, representing the product at field events such as conferences. Evangelize Whatfix products to prospects, customers, and partners through presentations and demos. Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs together with Account Executives and technical Sales Engineers. Convey feature input and customer requirements to Product Management teams. Partner with sales executives to plan, prepare, and execute on strategic deals in complex sales cycles, including discovery calls and value assessment calls. Respond to objections during solution presentations and articulate the value and ROI delivered. Liaise with Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to provide consultative product expertise for all customer needs. Effectively communicate and build confidence with customers across teams. Qualifications: 5+ years of Technical Pre‑Sales, Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, Sales, or Customer Success experience. Background in studying existing deployments across industries such as Insurance, Technology, Financial Services, Healthcare, etc., and communicating use cases and results to new prospects. Experience with deployments on applications like CRM (Salesforce, Microsoft), HR (Workday, Oracle, SAP), and similar platforms. Worked as a Solutions Consultant at an Application Software Company, focusing on industries relevant to Whatfix: Insurance, Healthcare, Technology, Financial Services, Manufacturing. Consultative selling approach with strong listening skills and the ability to shape a shared vision for a solution. Creative and clear communication of complex concepts in an easy‑to‑understand manner. Understanding of high‑performance software and SaaS. Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving skills, self‑motivated, and adaptable to a dynamic team environment.
