Building Services Technician I

Ducks Unlimited's Great Plains Regional Office in Bismarck, ND, has an opening for a part-time Building Services Technician I. The position will report to the GPRO Facilities Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities

Building Maintenance:

• Event-specific clean up
• Assist in supporting and rearranging meeting rooms and spaces for special events
• Assist in cleaning and organizing additional spaces and storage areas
• Assist with Prairie Coteau Ranch projects

Grounds & Equipment Maintenance:

• Clearing of sidewalks and doorways of debris and snow
• Litter clean up
• Mowing and watering the lawn
• Changing and checking fluids on all-terrain vehicles
• Adjusting tire air pressures on vehicles
• Minor vehicle repairs such as battery and tire changes
• Vehicle cleaning
• Checking and changing equipment lights and performing safety inspections on vehicles and equipment.

Landscaping:

• Inspecting and maintaining landscaped areas
• Operating small grounds equipment
• Planting of new and replacement plants, shrubs and trees
• Removing weeds, trimming and pruning
• Watering of new and existing plantings

Qualifications

• High School education and part-time work experience.
• A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and pre-employment drug screen are required.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and able to read and understand instructions.
• Ability to speak with personnel from Ducks Unlimited and other agencies.
