We are seeking a detail-oriented Consultant - Risk Consulting professional to assist clients in completing various quarterly and annual state reporting requirements to maintain Workers’ Compensation Qualified Self-Insurance status and/or compliance with monopolistic fund requirements. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in multiple states and a strong background in employer risk management, HR, payroll, or related fields.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and adhere to a schedule of reporting requirements for each client by entity and by state.
- Request and obtain payroll, class codes, hours, loss information, financial statements, and other documents from clients, TPAs, or other sources as required by each state.
- Follow up with clients or others on tight deadlines to ensure compliance with strict state requirements.
- Actively review the status of all activities and input information into various state web portals.
- Guide clients on certifying and/or signing off on information within web portals.
- Instruct clients on payment requirements and maintain detailed records of all activities, including requests for documents, data, actuarial reports, and proof of payments.
- Assist clients in adding entities to state programs as necessary.
- Review surety bonds or other security requirements and levels with each state, request reviews of security as necessary, and provide actuarial reports and other information requested by the state to support security.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience conducting annual/quarterly filings in multiple states within an employer risk management, HR, payroll department, broker, or consulting firm.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to track and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Experience with state-side reporting and filings is a plus.
- Ability to request payroll funds and manage deadlines effectively.
- Experience in Workers’ Compensation or related fields is highly desirable.

Pay Range: $60 - $90/hour on W2 max
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. Our full-time consultants have access to benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and 401K contributions, as well as PTO, sick leave, and other benefits mandated by applicable state or localities where you reside or work.
