Finance Manager

Finance Manager Job Summary The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's financial planning, budgeting, accounting, reporting, and compliance activities. This role provides strategic financial leadership by analyzing business performance, managing financial risks, and supporting operational decision‑making. The Finance Manager works closely with executive leadership and department managers to ensure financial stability, operational efficiency, and long‑term business growth. Key Responsibilities Lead the company's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting processes. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Monitor financial performance, identify trends, and recommend strategies to improve profitability and cash flow. Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and investment decisions. Manage general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and general ledger. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), tax regulations, and company policies. Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, banks, and regulatory agencies. Oversee cash management, treasury activities, and working capital optimization. Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and operational expenses to improve cost efficiency. Partner with department leaders to establish budgets and monitor financial performance against targets. Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. Prepare financial presentations and reports for executive leadership and the Board of Directors. Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies. Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team while promoting continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred. 5–8 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills. Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain financial information to non‑financial stakeholders. Preferred Skills Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, electronics, or industrial environments. Knowledge of standard costing, inventory management, and operational finance. Familiarity with business intelligence and financial reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Experience supporting strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, or capital investment projects. Lean or continuous improvement experience is a plus. Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer for prolonged durations. Occasional travel to company facilities, customer sites, or corporate meetings may be required.
