1st Shift – Receptionist | Dodge Center, MN

McNeilus Steel, Inc. is currently accepting applications for a new team member to join our office staff as a Receptionist. This position is full-time and works Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-3pm. Will be accepting applications until position is filled.

Nature Of Work
A Receptionist is responsible for greeting incoming visitors and making a good first impression. Receptionists answer telephone calls and route the calls to the proper individual(s) for further assistance using a multiline telephone network. Receptionists also welcome incoming visitors, respond to inquiries from the public, and provide information about the company’s operations. Along with Front Desk Reception duties, the Receptionist is responsible for assisting other departments as needed.

Working Conditions
The afternoons are spent sitting at the reception desk located in the main office. Receptionists have their own work area at the front desk. The mornings are spent at their own cubicle in the Accounting department.

Duties/ Responsibilities

• Answer in-coming telephone calls and route calls to proper individual(s)
• Take messages from personnel, visitors, or clients when necessary and deliver to the appropriate party
• Assist with clerical duties for Sales, Purchasing, HR, AP, and AR Departments as requested
• Provide assistance to customer inquiries
• Inform other employees of visitor arrivals or appointment cancellations
• Greet in-coming applicants, distribute applications, and contact Personnel Department
• Become familiar with ongoing company operations
• Mail invoices as needed
• Scan and index Certification of Test Reports of steel purchases
• Scan and index manifests for proof of product delivery
• Use all safety devices, equipment, and PPE as directed and provided for protection
• Perform other duties as assigned and directed

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in fluent English
• Possess a courteous, professional, and helpful personality
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity of computer software and other office equipment (postage machine, fax machines, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, Internet, etc.)
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well with people
• Responsible, self-motivated and able to work well with little supervision
