Project Overview

This project seeks an experienced carpenter and mason to support ground-up construction of a new facility in Syracuse, NY. The work will be performed in person and requires expertise in both carpentry and masonry, with a focus on prevailing wage projects.

Scope of Work

  • Interpret and work from blueprints, specifications, and building codes
  • Perform concrete work, including forming, pouring, and finishing
  • Complete masonry tasks such as bricklaying, block work, and stone installation
  • Execute carpentry work including framing, installation, and finishing
  • Collaborate with other trades and project stakeholders to ensure quality and timely completion
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant worksite
  • Assist with scope development and renovation as needed

Deliverables, Timeline & Success Criteria

  • Completion of all assigned carpentry and masonry tasks according to project specifications and building codes
  • High-quality concrete finishing and masonry work that meets industry standards
  • Accurate and timely installation of framing and structural elements
  • Adherence to prevailing wage requirements and project safety protocols
  • Project duration and milestones will be finalized based on the agreed scope; timely progress and clear communication are expected throughout
  • Success will be measured by the quality of workmanship, adherence to specifications, meeting project deadlines, and compliance with all relevant codes and standards

Salary:

Mason Salary:

- Base $40.78 plus Benefit $24.62 $65.4 per hour

Carpenter Salary 

- Base $37.99 plus Benefit $22.67 $60.66 per hour

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in carpentry and masonry for ground-up construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of concrete work, framing, bricklaying, and finishing techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and building codes
  • Familiarity with prevailing wage work and related documentation
  • Excellent punctuality, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely and efficiently on active construction sites
