UMH Sparrow Lansing Main Hospital is seeking a Board Certified Physician in Hand Surgery for a locum opportunity. As a 24-hour trauma call provider at an ACS Verified Level One Trauma Center, you will play a critical role in ensuring comprehensive hand surgical care to our community. Our facility is well-equipped and located centrally, making it an ideal environment for both you and your patients.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide 24-hour trauma call coverage approximately 10 days per month.
• Handle in-person responses when surgical procedures are required.
• Conduct patient consults, follow-ups, and procedures as scheduled.
• Perform hand-related procedures, traumatic hand reconstruction, general plastic surgery, and minor burn care.
• Ensure timely and effective communication within the trauma team to optimize patient care.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Orthopedic, Plastic, or General Surgery (REQUIRED).
• Completed Fellowship in Hand Surgery (REQUIRED).
• Active Michigan license (REQUIRED); full license required, no compact or IMLC accepted.
• BLS and ACLS certification highly preferred.
• Self-Query NPDB (must be pulled within the month) at the time of presentation (REQUIRED).

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active Michigan medical license.
• Board Certification in Hand Surgery.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are highly preferred.
