Maintenance Technician II Mechanical & Robotics

The Maintenance Technician II supports the operations maintenance team by repairing, maintaining, and improving material handling equipment and pneumatic systems across the facility. This role focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all mechanical and robotic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting on material handling equipment, automated packaging systems, and robotic distribution equipment to quickly identify and resolve mechanical and pneumatic issues.
• Carry out preventive and preventative maintenance tasks on mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety standards.
• Use hand and power tools to perform mechanical repairs, adjustments, and component replacements on facility equipment.
• Inspect equipment and facility systems regularly to detect wear, damage, or potential failures and take corrective action.
• Support facilities maintenance activities to ensure the building and its systems remain in good working order.
• Document maintenance work performed, including repairs, parts used, and preventive maintenance activities, in maintenance records or systems.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance team members to prioritize work orders and coordinate equipment downtime for maintenance.
• Follow all safety guidelines and best practices while working on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical systems and material handling equipment.
• Proficiency in performing preventive and preventative maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Working knowledge of pneumatics, including maintenance and repair of pneumatic systems and components.
• Experience with hydraulics and the ability to maintain and repair hydraulic systems.
• Ability to safely and effectively use a wide range of hand and power tools for mechanical and facilities maintenance.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems related to industrial and automated equipment.
• Experience in facilities maintenance within an industrial or distribution environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow maintenance procedures and safety protocols.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with automated packaging and distribution equipment.
• Experience in operations or industrial maintenance in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, diagrams, and maintenance documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

You will work around automated packaging and distribution equipment, material handling systems, and building infrastructure, using a variety of hand and power tools and standard maintenance equipment. The environment supports focused technical work with an emphasis on safety, organization, and equipment reliability.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Coppell, TX.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $32.50 - $32.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
