Site Coordinator

Location: Serves Pasco, and Prosser sites Classification: Classified - Exempt / .846 FTE (220 days per year) Schedule: August - June / Monday - Friday /(typical school breaks and most of July off) SUMMARY: The ECEAP Site Coordinator is a full-time position that is responsible for providing leadership and management to the Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP). This position oversees the delivery of Early Childhood Education services, which include: indoor and outdoor environments, daily routines, curriculum, adult-child interactions, child guidance, screening and referrals, observation, assessment, and individualization, as well as parent-teacher conferences. This positionwill cover sites throughout the ESD 123 region. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide coordination and support to the ECEAP Program. Provide oversight and supervision of ECEAP teaching and family support staff within designated classroom locations. Ensure all related performance standards are met within designated time periods. Attend local, regional , and statewide meetings to represent the ECEAP Program. Foster partnerships with local school districts and community organizations. Develop consistent methods for communicating internally and externally. Collaborate with community-based organizations that serve culturally diverse and/or underserved populations as appropriate. Assist with the coordination and facilitation of special events, meetings , and activities. Work in collaboration with program components, including: Home Visiting, Education, Health, Nutrition, Family Engagement , Family Services , Volunteers, and Mental Health. Support the implementation of the Early Achievers Quality Recognition System (QRIS) to improve curriculum, learning environments , interactions , and outcomes . Perform additional tasks as assigned. Maintains confidentiality and abides by all ESD Board Policies and Procedures, as well as ECEAP Performance Standards. SUPERVISORY: Provide oversight and supervision of Family Support Staff, and ECEAP classroom staff , including Lead Teachers , Assistant Teachers , and Classroom A ides. QUALIFICATIONS: Related Bachelor's Degree preferred, though may be waived in lieu of any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities of the position. Experience with supervision and program oversight, with increasing responsibility demonstrated. A minimum of two years working with young children in a group setting and experience as an early learning coach, consultant, mentor , or trainer. Training on the Early Achievers Coach Framework , or willingness to receive training WSP/ FBI background clearance required. REQUIRES ABILITY TO: Hire, supervise, train , and evaluate the performance of staff. Function professionally, positively , and effectively as a team member, with appropriate boundaries, while working with staff, parents, volunteers, other agencies , and the community. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, school district staff and administrators, OSPI & DCYF staff, other ESD 123 staff, board members, students , and the general public. Uphold program performance standards and requirements. Use various computer applications such as word processing, email, internet, spreadsheets, and databases. Maintain confidentiality and use appropriate discretion. Keep records and be organized. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including using interpreters when needed to communicate with individuals who speak other languages. Collaborate with district and state partners to accomplish program objectives Appreciate diversity and remain flexible. Respond to emergencies and/or non-standard situations both physically and mentally. Support and implement ESD policies, regulations, procedures , and administrative directives. Perform independent and joint duties with minimal supervision, while operating from established program policies and procedures. Perform skilled technical writing for articles, brochures, manuals, web information, workshop synopses , syllabi , workshop worksheets, report generation, and employee reviews. Organize and follow through on multiple tasks, address concerns as they arise, meet deadlines, and plan ahead to meet future needs and goals. WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is performed primarily in an school setting environment; however, travel is required to local school districts and program sites, and for workshops, committee representation and conferences at local, regional, and state level. Sitting for extended periods of time may be required. Lifts and carries a maximum of 35 pounds.
