Job Goal: To document and maintain accurate records of all meals served.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Willingness to travel to remote locations.
- Ability to live and work in a cross-cultural, rural Alaska environment.
- Ability to successfully perform the duties listed below.
Duties:
- Complete training as required. USDA-Civil Rights Requirements and Child Nutrition Programs. NSLP Point of Service Counting and Claiming NSLP Meal Pattern Requirements and any other applicable trainings.
- Prepare daily meal reports for students, adults, and elders meals.
- Recognize and record reimbursable student meals.
- Record all meals served at breakfast and lunch with point of sale system (scanners). Include students, adults, elders, and visiting students.
- Ensuring all meals record are recorded completed and accurately on the appropriate forms and are accurately totaled.
- Record all salad bar counts accurately.
- Collaborate with colleagues/cook to ensure accurate and complete meal counts.
- Update the site meal counting spreadsheet daily on the shared document.
- Ensure all elders have a completed Consumer Characteristics form before serving elder lunches to them.
- Ensure all adult meals are purchased before being served.
- Update the students and elder rosters weekly.
- Attend monthly training hosted by NMS.
- Send all meal counting paperwork via email every Friday by the end of the business day and ensure the meal counting spreadsheet is complete for the week. Reports MUST match.
- Other duties as assigned.
