Position Title: Mechanical / Test Systems Project Engineer

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote, depending on project support)
Pay Rate: $70/hr

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Mechanical / Test Systems Project Engineer to support the design, development, and execution of complex test facility systems used for aerospace and industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in mechanical systems, test facility design, and project engineering within environments involving pneumatic, hydraulic, refrigeration, heat transfer, and turbomachinery systems.

This role will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define, execute, and interpret test requirements for components and systems, while ensuring technical accuracy, reliability, and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define, document, and execute test requirements for mechanical systems, components, and modifications.
• Design and support test facility systems for pneumatic, hydraulic, refrigeration, heat exchanger, and turbomachinery applications.
• Interact with cross-functional engineering teams to develop test strategies and resolve technical issues.
• Analyze test data and provide technical interpretation and reporting.
• Identify functional and performance issues and propose engineering solutions.
• Support development of internal quality control standards and reliability programs.
• Monitor test progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Support project planning, execution, and coordination across engineering disciplines.
• May lead small technical teams or coordinate engineering activities on assigned projects.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 4+ years of technical experience in mechanical systems or test facility system design.
• Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, refrigeration, heat exchanger, or turbomachinery systems.
• Minimum 4+ years of Project Engineering or Project Management experience.
• Strong understanding of engineering test methods, system integration, and validation processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in aerospace or high-performance engineering environments.
• Knowledge of system testing standards and reliability methodologies.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with test facility design, commissioning, or integration activities.
