The tasks and responsibilities include:Assess, plan and implement care and interventions in addressing the problems of the neonateCarries out physician ordersAssists physician during examination, treatment, and proceduresAdministers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, monitors vital signsServes as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient careMonitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systemsInstructs and educates patients and familiesAssesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare teamProvides age and culturally appropriate careMaintains a safe and therapeutic patient care environment for at risk infantsOrients and mentors new staff membersFollows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as requiredAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
