Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist Medical Center South in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a PRN Night shift opportunity. Scheduled shifts are 7:00pm-7:00am.

The Emergency Department at Baptist South serves the rapidly growing communities of southern Jacksonville and northern St. Johns County . The department provides comprehensive emergency care supported by advanced technology and a collaborative medical team.


Registered Nurse, Job Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to patients with a wide range of medical, surgical, and emergent conditions
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and plans of care
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
  • Coordinate services provided by ancillary departments to support optimal patient outcomes
  • Serve as a patient advocate, promoting patient safety, dignity, and satisfaction
  • Uphold and embody the mission, vision, and values of Baptist Health
  • Participate in staff meetings, unit-based initiatives, and continuous quality improvement activities

Registered Nurse, Experience:

• 1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
• Telemetry Experience
• Emergency Department Experience Preferred
• Hospital Experience

Registered Nurse, Education & Credential Requirements:


• Associate of Science in Nursing Required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing Preferred

• Licensed Registered Nurse Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
• Certified Emergency Registered Nurse (CEN) Preferred
• Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification Preferred
• Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification (TNCC) Preferred
