Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for laboring patients in the L&D unit
- Monitor maternal vitals and fetal status; perform ongoing patient assessments
- Administer medications and assist with analgesia/anesthesia as ordered
- Facilitate deliveries and manage postpartum care; respond to emergent situations and neonatal resuscitation as needed
- Document care in the electronic medical record; communicate with obstetric team and appropriate departments
- Educate patients and families, support newborn care, and assist with discharge planning

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Texas
- 3+ years of labor and delivery or obstetric nursing experience
- Ability to work the night shift (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.)
- Experience in a high-volume L&D environment (approximately 85 deliveries per month)
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced setting
