Exciting OpportunitiesAs a General Surgeon within the Army's healthcare team, you will be engaged in cutting-edge medical and surgical practices, performing a diverse array of procedures. The innovations spearheaded by the Army Medical Department enhance patient outcomes and transform medical practices, ranging from pioneering regenerative medicine to creating 3-D anatomical models that aid in surgical planning before and after operations. - A current medical license to practice in the United States, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico is necessary.
- Candidates must be eligible for board certification.
- Completion of at least one year in an approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship is mandatory.
- A completed training program in general surgery is required.
- U.S. citizenship is necessary for those serving on Active Duty.
- A permanent U.S. residency is required for Army Reserve candidates.
