About the Role
The Company is seeking a visionary leader to take on the role of Global Head of High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC). This pivotal position involves spearheading the development and execution of a comprehensive global HVDC strategy, leading a diverse team of specialists and engineers, and driving the transformation of energy transmission and distribution on a global scale. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, overseeing the design and execution of HVDC systems, and ensuring the company's leadership position in the HVDC market through continuous research, development, and engagement with global stakeholders. Applicants for the Global Head of HVDC role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, power systems, or a related field, with a master's or Ph.D. being advantageous. Extensive experience in the HVDC industry and a proven track record of delivering complex HVDC projects globally are essential. The role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of HVDC technology, power electronics, and grid integration challenges, as well as excellent business acumen and communication abilities. The ideal candidate will have a history of driving innovation and implementing transformative solutions in the HVDC sector and will be adept at engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including governments, regulatory bodies, and utilities.
