We are seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to lead people strategy for a global manufacturing organization in the pharmaceutical or biosciences sector. This leader will partner with senior executives to build a strong leadership pipeline, retain critical talent, strengthen organizational performance, and support a workforce operating in a highly regulated environment.

The ideal candidate combines strategic judgment with a practical understanding of manufacturing. They can advise executives on complex decisions, connect HR priorities to business results, and lead through change with credibility at every level of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with executive leadership on workforce strategy, organizational effectiveness, culture, and long-term talent needs.
• Lead talent management, succession planning, leadership development, and retention strategies for critical scientific, technical, manufacturing, and business roles.
• Advise leaders on organization design, change management, team effectiveness, and executive performance.
• Strengthen HR support for manufacturing operations, including workforce planning, frontline leadership, employee engagement, and employee relations.
• Provide sound guidance on sensitive employee matters, ensuring fair and consistent decisions across the organization.
• Work with HR specialists to align compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, learning, and HR operations with business priorities.
• Use workforce data to identify talent risks, measure progress, and guide decisions.
• Promote consistent people practices across a global, matrixed organization while accounting for local workforce needs and requirements.
• Build and develop a high-performing HR team capable of serving as a trusted partner to the business.

Qualifications

• Significant progressive HR leadership experience, including experience leading HR strategy for a complex organization.
• Demonstrated success advising senior executives and influencing business decisions.
• Strong background in talent management, organizational development, employee relations, and leadership development.
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations and both salaried and frontline workforces.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or another regulated manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Ability to lead effectively across global teams, cultures, and business functions.
• Strong business judgment, communication skills, and the ability to balance strategic priorities with hands-on execution.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience; an advanced degree is a plus.
