Veterinary Technician/Assistant

Chenoweth Animal Hospital is seeking to add a veterinary assistant or technician to our team! Experience is preferred but we are happy to train the right candidate. We are a busy independent hospital located in the St Matthews area of Louisville. Ideal candidates will have experience with patient care and client communication. All candidates must possess a strong work ethic and have a history of trustworthiness and reliability.
Duties include but not limited to:
- obtaining patient history
- entering charges/maintaining accurate patient records
- venipuncture
- lab work (in-house and reference)
- iv catheter placement
- monitoring anesthesia
- radiographs
- client education and customer service
- animal restraint
- tech appointments: therapy laser, nail trims, anal gland expression, administer injections, etc.
A typical work schedule for a full-time employee is three weekdays (12 hour shifts, 7am-7pm) and every other Saturday (8:30am-1pm).
We are closed on Sundays.
