Job Summary Job Shift: Days Job Type: Per Diem The Registered Nurse uses critical‑thinking skills to coordinate and provide safe, quality care to patients using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN also assists with organizing patient care activities as assigned. Qualifications Education: Graduate of a Registered Nurse Program Experience: Outpatient/ambulatory experience preferred; chemotherapy experience preferred License: Registered Nurse Certification: BLS/CPR (American Heart Association); ACLS within 90 days; PALS within 90 days Organization Description St. Mary’s Medical Center (SMMC), part of the Palm Beach Health Network, is a 420‑bed acute‑care hospital in West Palm Beach. The hospital serves Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast for more than 80 years. SMMC is a Level 1 Trauma Center, a state‑designated Pediatric Trauma Referral Center, a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, and has a level III NICU. Pediatric services are provided at the Palm Beach Children’s Hospital at St. Mary’s Medical Center, the only dedicated children’s hospital between Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando.
