Trader Manager

Job Description: Trading Manager – Los Angeles Overview This is a new leadership role within the Trading Team, reporting directly to the RVP Trading. The Trader Manager will lead a team of programmatic traders, deliver exceptional campaign performance, and drive operational excellence across the organization. Responsibilities Lead and deliver trading best practices, including campaign management, product and tool adoption. Monitor weekly performance and pacing for regional campaigns. Run weekly pod board sessions to identify opportunities and challenges; translate findings into action. Make timely decisions, set clear directions, and hold team accountable for high‑quality results. Plan and organize campaign distribution to balance short‑ and long‑term goals across regional traders. Co‑create and implement coaching and development plans; conduct bi‑weekly 1‑on‑1s focused on performance, pacing, and trading excellence. Support traders on complex campaigns; provide recommendations and troubleshooting. Develop career pathing and long‑term development plans for reports. Act as the trading expert for product execution and client requirements. Partner with Sales Directors and Account Management leads to drive operational excellence. Engage key stakeholders; maintain consistent dialogue/feedback with sales and account management. Contribute to the U.S. wide trading strategy; collaborate with other U.S. trader managers to activate national best practices. Work with the Strategic Trading team to test and learn across key product & innovation initiatives. Identify new ways of working and implement solutions for evolving market requirements. Create an environment that encourages risk‑taking and innovation. Qualifications Minimum 4 years of programmatic trading experience. Preferred 1 year of management experience. Experience in training and developing team members. Portfolio management of high‑scale accounts. Ability to partner with commercial leadership and demonstrate impact on the wider team. In‑depth knowledge of the media landscape and digital media technologies. Strong understanding of DSP capabilities; experience across verticals, channels, and product types. Demonstrated trading innovation and analytical/quantitative skills, drawing insights from large datasets with minimal support. High attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment. Quick learner, open to new ideas, forward‑thinking, and solution‑focused. Excellent communication skills; able to present insights and reports to internal and external stakeholders.
