Registered Nurse (RN), Medical‑Surgical (PRN) – Part Time, Nights Job Type: Part Time | Nights Schedule: 4 shifts in a 6‑week period Centerpoint Health - Paris, formerly Bourbon Community Hospital, is a 58‑bed acute care facility located in the heart of Bluegrass. About the Unit The Med/Surg unit is a 16‑bed department that provides comprehensive, patient‑centered care across a wide range of medical and surgical needs. The unit is fully remote‑telemetry capable, allowing nurses to closely monitor patients and support higher‑acuity care in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities This position coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, acts as a patient advocate, and works as part of a team with ancillary and non‑nursing departments. Assesses the patient's condition and nursing care needs. Sets goals and prescribes appropriate nursing interventions to meet physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative needs of patients. Develops individual nursing care plans. Implements care plans and makes revisions as needed. Evaluates patient care outcomes. Collaborates with physicians and other hospital employees. Administers medications, treatments and therapies. Communicates with patients and oversees provision of care. Qualifications Current Kentucky or compact state RN license. Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
