Fabricator/ Welder

Position of Fabricator/Welder: reports to company vice president. Full time, Non-exempt Primary Responsibilities Working in a metal fabrication shop to prepare materials for projects. Start with raw material and end with a finished product. Setting up and using metal work machinery including drill press, saws, punching, bending metal, reading data and welding. Experience with press brake, CNC, shear, and laser machinery is a plus. Ability to use saws - horizontal, vertical, or cold. Read and understand drawings prior to starting a project. Follow OSHA and company safety policies. Maintain a clean working environment. Physical activities include lifting, pulling, standing on your feet for several hours, or carrying 50+ lbs. Ability to follow written or verbal instructions. Ability to drive a forklift. Assist powder coat staff with racking, tumbling and packing materials. Professional Qualities Maintain polite, courteous, tactful communication with the public and company staff. Excellent attention to detail. Punctual, responsible, organized work habits, and able to keep up with deadlines and complete daily work on time with few mistakes. Must be able to work quick, clean and complete with no loose ends. Additional Information Full-time, exempt position with salary depending on experience, education, and training. Overtime pay for hours worked over 40 per week. PTO not used during 12 months of employment will be paid up to 40 hours at your standard hourly wage. You may take additional time off as unpaid vacation.
