Maintenance Mechanic

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to all company policies, including the use of personal protective equipment and other health, safety, and environmental procedures. You will perform maintenance on plant machinery and equipment, assist others with techniques and trade knowledge, and maintain all tools and work areas in an orderly fashion. You will interpret mechanical prints, drawings, and technical data to conduct machinery maintenance and collaborate with engineering and production departments to improve products, machinery, and methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.
• Assist others in developing techniques and trade knowledge.
• Maintain tools and work areas in an orderly fashion.
• Interpret mechanical prints, drawings, and technical data.
• Collaborate with engineering and production departments for process improvements.
• Communicate and coordinate plant machinery needs and requirements.
• Provide input on preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
• Assist electricians and engineers with routine tasks.

• Troubleshooting
• Maintenance technician skills
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Repair and preventive maintenance expertise
• Welding skills
• Industrial and PLC troubleshooting experience
• Understanding of production processes

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with various departments in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to plan and provide mechanical equipment maintenance to reduce delays and costs

Work Environment

The Maintenance Mechanic will work in a warehouse and factory environment. The role requires regular standing, walking, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching with arms. Occasionally, the mechanic may need to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and must be able to talk or hear. The ability to regularly lift and move at least 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 75 pounds, is necessary. Work shifts are structured as follows: 1st shift from 6am to 6pm with a 3 on 4 off, 4 on 3 off rotation, and 3rd shift from 6pm to 6am with a similar rotation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75712.00 - $75712.00/yr.
