This is an opportunity to join Emerson as a Welder on 1st Shift at Emerson's Boulder location!In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:Perform assigned manual, automated, or semi-automated welding operations using approved Welding Procedure Specifications, drawings, specifications, travelers, and work instructionsPrepare, fit, position, and weld components and assemblies according to documented dimensional and quality requirementsPerform routine, clearly defined welding assignments using approved parameters, methods, tooling, fixtures, and equipmentEscalate concerns regarding welding parameters, methods, or approved proceduresRecognize weld defects, fit-up concerns, equipment issues, process deviations, and abnormal conditions; resolve immediate execution issues within established instructions and escalate other concernsPerform required pre-weld, in-process, and post-weld visual inspections and authorized testingIdentify and report nonconforming products or materials according to established site proceduresAccurately complete required production, material, quality, certification, and traceability records using approved paper or electronic systemsObtain and maintain the welding, process, product, equipment, inspection, and safety qualifications required for the assigned site and work areaFollow all safety procedures, properly use required personal protective equipment, recognize hazards and near misses, and complete required reportingPerform assigned operator-level preventive maintenance and verify that equipment, tools, fixtures, and inspection devices are suitable for useMaintain assigned work areas, tools, equipment, and materials according to 5S+1 standardsParticipate in approved Lean, continuous-improvement, quality-system, audit, or new-product activities as assignedWork cooperatively with production and support functions and seek feedback to build technical skillsSupport production in other products, processes, equipment, or work areas when properly trained, qualified, and authorizedWho You Are:You take ownership for your work, acting with integrity and following through on commitments while holding yourself accountable for results. You adapt well to change, remain composed in non-routine situations, and continue learning to strengthen your skills and impact.For This Role, You Will Need:EDUCATION: None; recognized welding program, AWS-aligned welding certificate, or related technical education preferredEXPERIENCE: Basic welding knowledge required through experience or school; relevant welding or manufacturing experience preferred, or successful completion of the site-approved training and qualification process; ability to read and apply applicable work instructions, welding procedures, drawings, and welding symbolsREQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS: Ability to successfully complete the required onsite weld test according to ASME Section IX code requirements, and to obtain and maintain all qualifications required for the assigned site and work areaOur Culture & Commitment to You:Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. In accordance with Colorado EPEWA, the hourly pay range for this role is $29.15 - $33.48 commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.This position will be open for a minimum of 7 days from the day of posting.
