TheEquipmentOperatorisresponsibleforsafelyandefficientlyoperatingandmaintainingheavyequipmenttosupportaggregateproductionoperations.Thispositionoperateslargeloaders,excavators,rocktrucks,andhydraulichammerstosafelyextract,move,process,andstockpilerockandotheraggregatematerials.TheEquipmentOperatorplaysacriticalroleinachievingproductiongoals,maintainingproductquality,andsupportingasafeworkenvironment.Thisroleperformsroutineequipmentinspections,assistswithmaintenanceactivities,andworkscollaborativelywithplantpersonneltopromotecontinuous,efficientoperations. EssentialFunctions: 1. Protectfamilyandfriends.Safelyoperatelargeloaders,excavators,rocktrucks,hydraulichammers,andrelatedequipmenttoextract,move,process,andstockpileaggregatematerialswhilemaintainingefficientmaterialflowthroughoutthequarryandplant. 2. Resultsmatter.Achievedailyproductionandqualityobjectivesbyloadinghaultrucks,feedingcrushingandscreeningoperations,maintainingstockpilesandquarry-floorconditions,andfollowingestablishedproductionplansandleadershipdirection. 3. Safetyalwayswins.Protectemployees,equipment,andtheworksitebyfollowingcompanysafetypolicies,sitetrafficplans,workplaceexaminationrequirements,andapplicableMSHAregulations;identify,communicate,andaddresshazardswithinthescopeoftherole. 4. Dedication.Maintainequipmentreadinessandminimizedowntimebycompletingrequiredpre-andpost-shiftinspections,reportingequipmentdefectsorabnormaloperatingconditions,andperformingbasiccleaning,lubrication,servicing,andmaintenancesupportactivities. 5. Loyalty.Maintainaccurateequipmentinspection,production,andsafetydocumentation,andparticipateinrequiredsafetymeetings,MSHAtraining,andotherjob-relatedtraining. 6. Respectandengage.Promotesafe,coordinated,andcontinuousquarryoperationsbycommunicatingeffectivelywithsupervisors,plantoperators,mechanics,truckdrivers,andteammembers. Requirements, EducationandExperience: Threeyears+ofexperiencesafelyoperatingheavyequipmentinaquarry,mining,construction,asphaltplant,orsimilarindustrialenvironmentpreferred. Basicmechanicalaptitudewiththeabilitytoassistwithroutinemaintenance,preferred. Effectivecommunicationandteamworkskillswiththeabilitytoworkindependentlyandcollaboratively. Thispositionworksindoorsandoutdoorsattimesininclementweather.Heavyworkthatincludesmovingobjectsupto100lb.ormore.Thispositionworksonornearmovingmechanicalpartsandloudequipment.Requirestheabilitytositorstandforlongperiodsoftimeaswellaslifting,bending,kneeling,squatting,climbing,walking,reaching,driving,andrepetitivemotion.
