The engineer will help implement security architecture, engineering standards, guardrails, automation, and operational controls that enable secure adoption of AWS across the company.This individual will partner with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Engineering, Identity and Access Management, Data Protection, Risk Management, and Application Development teams to support a modern cloud platform aligned with the firm’s security, resilience, regulatory, and operational objectives.In this role, you will:Lead or participate in computer security incident response activities for moderately complex eventsConduct technical investigation of security related incidents and post incident digital forensics to identify causes and recommend future mitigation strategiesProvide security consulting on medium projects for internal clients to ensure conformity with corporate information, security policy, and standardsDesign, document, test, maintain, and provide issue resolution recommendations for moderately complex security solutions related to networking, cryptography, cloud, authentication and directory services, email, internet, applications, and endpoint securityReview and correlate security logsUtilize subject matter knowledge in industry leading security solutions and best practices to implement one or more components of information security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuityIdentify security vulnerabilities and issues, perform risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternativesCollaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goalsDemonstrate proficiency in using AI‑assisted development and analysis tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot and approved code‑centric agents)Leverage AI to accelerate system design, coding, testing, analysis, and troubleshootingApply strong technical judgment when validating and integrating AI‑assisted outputs into solutionsUnderstand and account for model limitations, security risks, and operational considerationsApply AI responsibly in development and production environmentsEnsure AI usage aligns with security, compliance, privacy, and ethical standardsRequired Qualifications:4+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education3+ years of hands-on AWS security engineering experience.Desired Qualifications:Experience supporting enterprise AWS cloud security initiatives in a regulated environment.Experience implementing cloud security controls, guardrails, policy enforcement, and governance frameworks.Strong knowledge of AWS security services and capabilities across identity, networking, encryption, logging, monitoring, detection, and governance.Experience securing containerized and cloud-native workloads using Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, and serverless technologiesExperience integrating cloud platforms with enterprise IAM, PAM, and cybersecurity ecosystemsExperience implementing cloud security controls within large-scale enterprise environments.Experience partnering with development, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver cloud-based solutions.Experience supporting multi-cloud environmentsStrong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and automated cloud provisioningUnderstanding of Zero Trust architecture, DevSecOps, CI/CD security, and software supply chain securityStrong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.Ability to operate in a large, complex enterprise environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.Locations: 300 S Brevard, Charlotte, North Carolina 28202401 Las Colinas Blvd W Bldg.
