Day Shift Machinist Are you a skilled machinist who takes pride in precision work and solving unique manufacturing challenges? We are seeking an experienced Machinist to join a well-established industrial machine shop specializing in custom manufacturing, equipment repair, and precision machining. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of one-off and custom projects rather than repetitive production work. Pay & Schedule $25.00 - $35.00 per hour Pay based on experience Day Shift Full-Time Position Responsibilities Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, and other machine shop equipment Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Machine new components and repair existing parts to precise tolerances Perform measurements and inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision measuring tools Select appropriate tooling, materials, and machining methods Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments Maintain quality standards and ensure completed work meets customer requirements Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area Qualifications Previous manual machining experience required Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings Experience working with precision measuring instruments Strong understanding of machining practices and tolerances Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects Commitment to producing high-quality work Preferred Experience Job shop or custom machining environment Repair machining and equipment rebuild experience Experience machining large steel components Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Summersville, WV. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $75000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
