Physical Therapist - Per Diem

Summary The Physical Therapist is responsible for designing and implementing individualized treatment programs aimed at maximizing patients’ functional independence and quality of life. This role involves evaluating the effectiveness of care plans and adjusting interventions as needed to achieve optimal outcomes. The therapist specializes in assessing and treating patients experiencing cancer-related disabilities, providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Responsibilities Educating patients and caregivers to prepare them for therapy sessions and safe discharge, as well as thoroughly documenting all treatments, progress, and communications with interdisciplinary healthcare team members. Participates in ongoing educational programs to maintain clinical expertise and may provide supervision and guidance to physical therapy clinical interns and physical therapy assistants. This position is characterized by the need for flexibility, including short or unscheduled notice to report for duty, the variable nature of the hours worked per payroll period and temporary nature of appointments to this title and the fact that this is a non-benefit earning title. Starting hourly rate is $44.18. Qualifications Required Education and Experience License to practice as a physical therapist in the State of New York. Doctorate degree from an approved physical therapy program; or Master’s degree from an approved physical therapy program and the equivalent of one (1) year of full time experience in physical therapy or a related field; or Bachelor’s degree from an approved physical therapy program and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in physical therapy or a related field. #J-18808-Ljbffr
